For BA or MA student who are passionate about international diplomacy, the Abba Eban institute offers a unique opportunity to gain knowledge and hands-on experience in one of two tracks - our annual internship program, and our summer program
Annual Internship Program
The Institute’s annual internship program is meant for a select group of excellent Bachelors' and Masters' students from the IDC Herzliya, who apply at the beginning of each academic year. Interns join one of the Institute’s programs, as well as “The Arena” magazine. They gain experience in diplomacy and foreign affairs and participate in professional workshops held by the Institute throughout the year. Interns can choose between six of our programs:
General requirements:
IDC students can choose to take the internship for two academic credits (equivalent to an elective, and only if they have not previously completed an accredited internship), or as a non-credit internship.

Excellent research skills

Fluent English (several spots will be reserved for native Hebrew speakers)

BA (2nd and 3rd year) students and MA students from all IDC schools

Commitment to 6-8 weekly hours

Mandatory participation in group meetings and workshops during the year
Specific Requirements for “The Arena” and Media Operations Department:

Excellent research skills

Media and journalistic affinity (previous experience – an advantage)

Passion for journalistic and/or literary editing and copywriting

Deep knowledge and understanding of international diplomacy and current affairs
Internship period: A full academic year
Summer Internship Program
Our summer internship programs draw students from leading US universities through the "Onward Israel" program. Prospective interns can request their Onward coordinator to get in touch with the Abba Eban Institute and apply for an internship. For more information visit: onwardisrael.org
