To mark 120 years since the birth of Israel’s first female Prime Minister, Golda Meir, we hosted a conference that celebrated her life and work. In front of a full house, we held several sessions that focused on Israel’s relations with Africa, which Meir launched, the role of women in leadership positions and The Yom Kippur War.
Ambassador Prosor and former M.K Tzipi Livni discussed the importance of diplomatic work before, during and after a military campaign. Speakers at the conference included Ambassador of Cote d’Ivoire to Israel Jean-Baptiste Gomis, former Supreme Court President Dorit Beinisch, Former Head of Mossad Zvi Zamir, former Head of IDF Intelligence Shlomo Gazit, former Speaker of the Knesset Shlomo Hillel, former AmbassadorGabriela Shalev, and others.
